Here are some tips for visiting Walk Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

Book a reservation to enjoy breakfast inside of the park at 8 am.  The restaurants open at that time are Cinderella’s Royal Table and Crystal Palace.  Booking breakfast early means you get to enter the park before most other guests.  This is also the perfect moment to get a photo in front of Cinderella’s castle without so many other people in the way.

When you arrive at the Transportation Center you can choose the monorail or a ferry ride to get to the main park entrance. The monorail is the fastest way but the ferry ride is typically less crowded and very scenic. Both options are great, try both if you can.

If you get to the park right as it opens don't miss out on the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show.  The show starts about 15 minutes before the gates open and takes place in the front of the park.  The show lasts approximately 8 minutes.

There are free buttons for every occasion at City Hall on Main Street.  They say many things such as Happy Birthday, I’m Celebrating, First Visit, and Happy Anniversary!

The best place to start touring the park is either straight back or to the left.  Most guests start at Tomorrowland located on the right.  By going in the opposite direction of most guests you're more likely to get the shortest lines in the rides.

Want to get your photo taken with your favorite Disney characters?  Magic Kingdom’s character meetings have the longest lines, so if it's on your agenda, do them first thing in the morning or during a parade.

Get the most out of your visit to Magic Kingdom by using the FastPass system.  With a FastPass you can reserve the time you would like to come back to the ride which makes your time spent in line much shorter.

At the end of the day, the best place to see the entire fireworks show is on or alongside Main Street facing the castle.

Open Now Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley

Thousands of fans lined up July 7, 2014 to view Universal Studios Orlando brand new Harry Potter addition, Diagon Alley.  Fans waited 2 hours to enter the park which opened early at 5:45am.  Many went straight to Escape from Gringotts, the parks newest Harry Potter ride.  The ride's wait the first day was 450 minutes but many said it was well worth the wait.  The ride is a mix between some of Universal Studios best rides such as Spider-Man, The Mummy, and Transformers.  The 3D ride has plenty of on screen action that features many characters from the Harry Potter movies and roller coaster like maneuvers.  Be sure you add this to your Orlando Family Resort Vacation Package.
